  • Reissued in 1990 by MCA/Videocassette Inc.
  • This is an edited telefilm featuring a few minutes of new footage as well as the "Galactica 1980" episodes, "Galactica Discovers Earth" and "The Night The Cylons Ended", and the original series episode, "The Young Lords".
  • Some music was rescored for this home video version.
  • The MCA Home Video ident precedes the feature.
  • Like most MCA/Universal reissues, the box usually states a later release date than the cassette sticker label as to save cost on making new sticker labels. The box of this reissue states 1990 and the sticker label reuses the labels from the 1988 reissue.
  • The picture quality of this reissue is much better than the original 1982 release.
  • By the 1990's, MCA stopped using the Canadian sticker on the back box, so to differentiate Canadian release from their U.S. counterpart they began, as did most other companies, using the little circle Canadian ratings stickers, which were usually placed in the right hand corner but it wasn't uncommon to see them placed elsewhere. The sticker label also states, MCA Home Video Canada.
